Penfield Webster EMS is pleased to host Dr. Michael Catalino for a special educational session while he is back in the Rochester area for a brief visit.

Dr. Catalino is a neurosurgical oncologist and Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at UVA Health, specializing in complex brain and spine pathology, including tumors affecting the brain, skull base, and spinal column. His training includes advanced fellowship work at both Brigham and Women’s Hospital and MD Anderson Cancer Center.

A Webster native, Dr. Catalino has generously offered to spend time with our providers for an interactive case-based discussion focused on neurosurgical patients encountered through EMS and how prehospital assessment, recognition, and decision-making influence downstream specialty care.

Topics will include:

• Review of neurosurgical cases brought in by EMS
• Discussion of EMS assessment findings and clinical decision-making
• Case-based neurosurgical review and teaching points
• Q&A
