Nominations, Elections & Governance (NEG) Committee
Charge: Assist the Council with procedural operations and coordinate nominations and elections. The NEG Committee is responsible to ensure the bylaws are reviewed and revised as necessary, monitor compliance of the membership and also to help recruit new members for the Council.

Public Information, Education & Recruitment (PIER) Committee
Charge: Helping to promote knowledge of emergency medical services including career and volunteer opportunities, the success of the system, and sharing information that may be important for the public. The committee is responsible for administering the New York State EMS and Monroe-Livingston Regional EMS Council awards.

System Operations Committee
Charge: To coordinate the Council’s role in the ambulance service determination fo need process (NYS Public Health Law Article 30, section 3003.5 and 3008) review and make recommendations to the Council regarding exemptions from staffing standards (NYS Public Health Law Article 30, 3003.m). Voting members of this committee must be members of the Council.

Charge: To assist the Council Secretary in the management of the following responsibilities including but not limited to: determining appropriate mentors to advise new members on policies and procedures of the Council; collecting pertinent articles for new members to read and understand by next Council meeting (Part 800, Public Health Law Article 30, etc.); determining committees for new members to join, depending on need; establishing a procedure for monitoring and managing member affiliation and manage members who fail to adhere to attendance policies established by the bylaws.

Quality Improvement Strategies for EMS Agencies
Pediatric Advisory Committee
Charge: The Pediatric Advisory Committee (PAC) was established based on the desire within the EMS Region to improve pediatric readiness. The members of the committee have undertaken several pediatric quality initiatives including medication safety, pediatric equipment and pediatric skills education. The PAC works to enhance the New York State Pediatric Emergency Care Coordinator program. Membership is comprised of EMS Physicians, Pediatricians, Nurses, Paramedics and EMTs to offer diverse insight in treating pediatric prehospital patients.
